I have bet on millions of rounds of blackjack. I began working my way into the casinos when I was sixteen. I have wagered on online 21, I have counted cards, and worked as part of a team for a little while. With all that said I have still lost all kinds of money at blackjack. The gambling dens have made it basically impossible to defeat the house.
I still enjoy the game and gamble on a regular basis. Over this time period I have played a type of chemin de fer called "The Take it Leave it Method". You won’t get loaded with this tactic or defeat the casino, however you will have a lot of fun. This tactic is built on the idea that blackjack seems to be a game of runs. When you are hot your on fire, and when you are not you’re NOT!
I wager with basic strategy vingt-et-un. When I don’t win I wager the lowest amount allowed on the successive hand. If I do not win again I wager the lowest amount allowed on the successive hand again etc. Whenever I hit I take the winnings paid to me and I wager the original wager again. If I win this hand I then keep in play the winnings paid to me and now have double my original wager on the table. If I succeed again I take the winnings paid to me, and if I win the next hand I leave it for a total of four times my original bet. I continue betting this way "Take it Leave it etc". Once I don’t win I return the bet back down to the original bet.
I am very strict and never back out. It gets extremely exciting at times. If you succeed at a few hands in series your wagers go up very quickly. Before you realize it you are betting $100-200/ hand. I have had fantastic runs a number of times now. I left a $5 table at the Venetian a number of years back with $750 after 45 mins using this technique! And a few days ago in Las Vegas I left a game with $1200!
You must comprehend that you can say good-bye to a lot faster this way too!. But it really makes the game more enjoyable. And you will be astonished at the runs you notice betting this way. Below is a guide of what you would wager if you kept winning at a 5 dollar game.
Bet five dollar
Take five dollar paid-out to you, leave the initial 5 dollar wager
Wager 5 dollar
Leave 5 dollar paid-out to you for a total wager of $10
Bet ten dollar
Take $10 paid-out to you, leave the original 10 dollar bet
Bet $10
Leave ten dollar paid-out to you for a total bet of twenty dollar
Bet $20
Take $20 paid-out to you, leave the initial 20 dollar bet
Wager $20
Leave twenty dollar paid to you for a total wager of forty dollar
Wager $40
Take $40 paid to you, leave the original 40 dollar bet
Wager 40 dollar
Leave $40 paid to you for a total bet of $80
Wager eighty dollar
Take eighty dollar paid to you, leave the first $80 wager
Bet $80
Leave 80 dollar paid-out to you for a total bet of $160
Bet $160
Take 160 dollar paid-out to you, leave the original 160 dollar bet
If you departed at this point you would be up $315 !!
It is hard to go on a streak this long, but it often happen. And when it does you can NOT alter and lower your bet or the final result won’t be the same.
