I have enjoyed countless of rounds of 21. I started working my way into the casinos when I was still underage. I have played online twenty-one, I have counted cards, and worked with a team for a little while. With all that said I have still spent a lot of funds at chemin de fer. The casinos have made it very hard to defeat the house.
I still enjoy the game and wager on a frequent basis. Over this time period I have gambled on a variation of blackjack called "The Take it Leave it Method". You won’t get rich with this tactic or defeat the house, still you will have an abundance of fun. This method is based on the idea that chemin de fer appears to be a game of streaks. When you are hot your on fire, and when you are not you’re NOT!
I bet with basic strategy 21. When I don’t win I wager the lowest amount allowed on the subsequent hand. If I lose again I bet the table minimum on the successive hand again etc. Whenever I profit I take the winnings paid to me and I wager the initial wager again. If I win this hand I then leave the winnings paid to me and now have double my original wager on the table. If I succeed again I take the winnings paid to me, and if I win the next hand I leave it for a total of four times my original wager. I continue betting this way "Take it Leave it etc". Once I lose I return the action back down to the original value.
I am very disciplined and never "chicken out". It gets very thrilling sometimes. If you win a few hands in a row your bets go up very quick. Before you realize it you are wagering $100-200/ hand. I have had fantastic runs a number of times now. I left a $5 table at the Luxor a number of years back with $750 after 20 mins using this tactic! And a number of months ago in Sin City I left a table with $1200!
You need to understand that you can relinquish a great deal faster this way too!. But it really makes the game more enjoyable. And you will be astonished at the streaks you see playing this way. Below is a chart of what you would wager if you kept winning at a 5 dollar table.
Bet $5
Take five dollar paid to you, leave the first five dollar wager
Bet $5
Leave $5 paid-out to you for a total bet of 10 dollar
Bet $10
Take ten dollar paid-out to you, leave the original ten dollar bet
Wager 10 dollar
Leave ten dollar paid to you for a total wager of 20 dollar
Bet twenty dollar
Take twenty dollar paid-out to you, leave the initial 20 dollar bet
Bet $20
Leave 20 dollar paid-out to you for a total wager of $40
Wager forty dollar
Take $40 paid to you, leave the first forty dollar wager
Bet 40 dollar
Leave $40 paid-out to you for a total wager of eighty dollar
Bet eighty dollar
Take $80 paid to you, leave the initial eighty dollar wager
Bet 80 dollar
Leave eighty dollar paid-out to you for a total bet of 160 dollar
Bet 160 dollar
Take $160 paid to you, leave the initial $160 wager
If you departed at this instance you would be up 315 dollar !!
It is iffy to go on a streak this long, but it does happen. And when it does you can NOT deviate and lower your bet or the final result won’t be the same.
